This project done in conjunction with Resilient By Design competition in the Bay Area. The studio worked alongside practitioners in CMG Landscape Architecture and AECOM, who formed the larger ABC team with UC Berkeley.

The project focused on how the area around Oakland Coliseum can be designed to withstand future sea level rise. Our project proposal was to integrate the existing neighborhood with the rising waters. We aimed to weave the bay into the street grid, tendrils shooting up to connect the residents with the natural landscape. At the bay’s edge, there is the opportunity to create new development among a series of canals.
